On the 16th of May, 2018, East Asia University of Technology held a training course for all students of the 8th course to equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to prepare for the salary – paid practical training in Dong Thap and Ben Tre.
The program aims to provide basic knowledge and skills on labor safety helping students become aware of the internship process, the importance of learning skills in production work. This will help them to develop the basic knowledge and skills that are available for the job, the positive attitude to work, responsibility of each individual, manufacturers and University.
The internship program for the 8th Course students is based on the standard framework of the MekongSkills2Work project. This project is funded by USAID for Human Resource Training for Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand and Myanmar.
The 8th Course students participate in the program of cognitive training in Dong Thap and Ben Tre. They are supported by East Asia University of Technology and Polyco Group for all expenses: train tickets, meals, accommodation and salaries as prescribed.
After the end of a one-month internship, the 8th Course students will have a report summarizing the study results. This is a unique opportunity at the East Asia University of Technology for its students. Opportunities not only help them to have a life experience but also they have a clearer understanding of future careers, from which they have a clear orientation to personal development.
