On the morning of September 11, East Asia University of Technology attended the Conference on Connecting Key Industrial Product Manufacturers with Domestic Training and Vocational Institutions, organized by the Hanoi Department of Industry and Trade in collaboration with the Hanoi Association of Key Industrial Product Manufacturers (HAMI).

According to the report, Hanoi currently has more than 100 key industrial enterprises, creating jobs for tens of thousands of workers and making an important contribution to GRDP growth while affirming the capital’s industrial position.
However, these key industrial enterprises are facing significant challenges amid the demands for technological innovation, digital transformation, automation, and international integration. In this context, high-quality human resources have become the decisive factor for sustainable enterprise development.
In reality, many graduates still lack practical skills, foreign language proficiency, and familiarity with modern production systems. As a result, companies must retrain employees before assigning them to production lines. This gap between education and industry needs to be effectively addressed.
Therefore, key industrial product manufacturers expect to access a workforce with in-depth expertise — ready to integrate into production lines, master new technologies, and quickly adapt to changes in the digital-era labor market.
At the same time, businesses wish to collaborate directly with educational institutions in developing curricula and participating in the teaching process. This approach not only bridges the gap between “theory” and “practice” but also fosters “industry-ordered training programs,” enabling universities to equip students with the exact competencies that enterprises require.

Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Thang, Vice Rector of East Asia University of Technology, stated that the university annually provides hundreds of engineers with strong professional skills, solid foundational knowledge, and the ability to master new technologies.
“We take pride in the fact that our students, even while still studying at university, can directly participate in tasks that require advanced practical skills,” emphasized Dr. Nguyen Duc Thang.
In response to the increasing demand for high-quality human resources in key industrial sectors, the university recognizes that close collaboration with businesses is the key to enhancing training effectiveness. Therefore, EAUT seeks to strengthen cooperation with enterprises in activities such as student internships, post-graduation recruitment, joint research, and the implementation of customized training programs.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Duc Thang expressed his hope that stronger connections between academia and industry will open up new opportunities for cooperation, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources serving the nation’s industrialization and modernization.
Within the framework of the conference, EAUT students also had the opportunity to engage directly with recruiters. This provided a valuable platform for face-to-face dialogue with employers — allowing students to confidently showcase their abilities and seek genuine employment opportunities beyond traditional job introductions.

For enterprises, this was an opportunity to approach potential candidates, receive applications, conduct on-site interviews, and recruit not only EAUT students but also students from other vocational and training institutions nationwide.
