In an increasingly competitive labor market, students not only need a solid foundation of professional knowledge but also must possess essential skills to impress employers. A CV and interview are two key factors that determine each student’s career opportunities after graduation. However, for many young people, especially final-year students, building a CV for the first time or participating in interviews often comes with confusion and pressure. Stemming from this reality, the Faculty of Food Technology – East Asia University of Technology organized the program “Personalized CV Review and Mock Interviews – Simulating Real Recruitment Processes, Combined with Post-Graduation Study Abroad Orientation”, providing K13 students with essential preparation before entering the labor market.

A practical program derived from students’ real needs
The program was designed based on common challenges faced by students of the Faculty of Food Technology during their preparation for internships and job applications. Many students shared that they struggled with presenting personal information, highlighting professional skills, and lacked confidence when answering interview questions.
With the goal of helping students “understand themselves – understand their profession – understand employers”, the program aimed to equip students with fundamental knowledge and skills, enabling them to be more proactive in career orientation and personal development. This activity also clearly reflects East Asia University of Technology’s practice-oriented training philosophy.
Personalized CV review aligned with career orientation
A key highlight of the program was the personalized CV review for each student. Instead of using generic CV templates, students were guided to develop CVs based on their competencies, interests, and specific career orientations in the field of Food Technology.
From presenting academic background, skills, internship experience to choosing appropriate wording for each job position, every CV received detailed feedback from lecturers and experts. As a result, students not only obtained more polished and professional CVs but also gained a clearer understanding of how to present their personal value to employers.

Mock interviews – simulating a real recruitment environment
Along with the CV review activity, students directly participated in mock interviews following real enterprise recruitment models. As candidates, students experienced a professional interview atmosphere and faced common questions related to expertise, soft skills, work attitude, and career development orientation.
After each interview session, students received specific, candid, yet constructive feedback from lecturers and experts. These comments helped students clearly identify their strengths and limitations, thereby adjusting their answers, demeanor, and communication skills for future interviews.
Expanding perspectives on career opportunities and post-graduation study abroad
Beyond CV preparation and interview skills, the program also provided K13 students of the Faculty of Food Technology with useful information about career opportunities and post-graduation study abroad pathways. Students were informed about recruitment requirements from domestic and international enterprises, as well as learning, working, and professional development pathways for the future.
Through discussion sessions, students gradually developed a clearer career mindset and learned how to build personal development plans aligned with their abilities and individual goals. This serves as an important foundation, helping students gain confidence as they enter internships, seek employment, and integrate into the labor market.

The program “CV Review, Mock Interviews & Post-Graduation Study Abroad Opportunities” provided K13 students of the Faculty of Food Technology with practical, hands-on, and valuable experiences. Not only did it help students refine their CVs and enhance interview skills, but it also fostered confidence, proactiveness, and professional resilience among young learners. This program stands as a clear testament to the comprehensive, practice-oriented training approach of East Asia University of Technology, accompanying students on their journey to conquer the future.
