On the morning of September 29, the Brewing Course 2025 Opening Ceremony was solemnly held at East Asia University of Technology, co-organized by the POLYCO Group, East Asia University of Technology, and the VLB Berlin Institute for Brewing and Beverage Technology (Germany).

The ceremony was attended by Dr. Dinh Van Thanh – General Director of POLYCO Group and President of East Asia University of Technology; Dr. Dinh Phuong Thao – Deputy General Director of POLYCO Group and Vice President of the University; representatives from partner enterprises and faculty members from various universities. Especially, the course is instructed by Mr. Philipp Zeuschner from the VLB Berlin Institute for Brewing and Beverage Technology.
This is the second year that the Brewing Course has been organized at East Asia University of Technology. The program aims to provide professional training, update the latest trends and modern technologies in beer production, enhance quality, and optimize production processes. At the same time, it strengthens the connection between the University – Enterprises – and International Partners.


In this course, participants — professional brewers and brewing experts — will deepen their knowledge on topics such as: Beer flavor stability, beer styles and recipe development, sensory beer analysis, by-product reuse in brewing, high-alcohol beer brewing, yeast management, and microbiological control.
Delivering the opening remarks, Dr. Dinh Van Thanh – General Director of POLYCO Group and President of East Asia University of Technology – emphasized the strong commitment of the Group and the University to bringing specialized training programs in brewing technology from abroad to Vietnam.

The Brewing Course 2025 serves as a platform to enhance brewing skills, helping enterprises improve product quality and competitiveness both domestically and internationally. In addition, it aims to foster a learning community where participants can exchange knowledge with peers and experts, expand professional networks, and share a passion for brewing.
“For university lecturers participating in this course, this is also an opportunity to exchange knowledge, share teaching experiences, and listen to feedback from industry experts and businesses. This helps provide more practical perspectives, enabling them to design more effective lessons and equip students with the necessary skills and confidence to enter the job market,” shared Dr. Dinh Van Thanh.
The course runs from September 29, 2025 to October 3, 2025, with specific daily topics as follows:
• September 29: Flavor stability – from brewhouse to packaging.
• September 30: Beer styles and recipe development.
• October 1: Sensory analysis: methods and off-flavors.
• October 2: By-product utilization in brewing; High-alcohol beers – opportunities and challenges.
• October 3: Yeast management; Microbiological control.
Each session includes a short quiz to assess participants’ learning progress and a Q&A section at the end. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate of achievement.
