[Faculty of Korean Language] International Scientific Conference – A Significant Milestone in the Journey of Global Integration

Modern higher education is increasingly promoting internationalization, and scientific research activities as well as international academic cooperation are playing an increasingly important role in improving training quality and affirming the position of higher education institutions. With a development orientation toward sustainability associated with international integration, Dong A University of Technology continuously expands cooperative relationships with reputable universities and research institutes in the region and around the world.

In order to create a forum for academic exchange, knowledge connection, and the promotion of research collaboration, Dong A University of Technology successfully organized an International Scientific Conference, marking an important milestone in the university’s journey toward global integration.

The conference attracted the participation of numerous researchers, lecturers, and scholars from many universities and research organizations from Vietnam, South Korea, Japan, and China. Notably, the program was honored to welcome the research team from the BK21 (Brain Korea 21) Project of Sunmoon University (South Korea). BK21 is a key research program funded by the Korean Government with the aim of developing high-quality research human resources, enhancing academic capacity, and promoting innovation in higher education.

In addition, the conference was attended by the Head of the Representative Office of the Korea Foundation in Hanoi – an organization under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea, which plays an important role in supporting Korean Studies research and promoting academic and cultural exchanges related to Korea worldwide. The presence of international delegates significantly enhanced the prestige, professional quality, and academic scale of the conference.

Within the framework of the program, many in-depth academic presentations were delivered, covering diverse topics such as language teaching methodologies, linguistic studies, and the culture and history of Vietnam, Korea, Japan, and China. These presentations not only carried high academic value but also updated new research trends, opening up effective approaches in teaching and research within the social sciences and humanities, particularly in the context of exchange and integration within the East Asian region.

One of the key highlights of the conference was the signing ceremony of a cooperation agreement between the Faculty of Korean Language – Dong A University of Technology and the BK21 Research Project Team of Sunmoon University. The agreement aims to establish a long-term and substantive partnership in academic research, education and training of high-quality human resources, as well as the exchange of students, lecturers, and researchers, while expanding international cooperation programs in the future.

The signing of this cooperation agreement not only contributes to improving the quality of the Korean Language program at Dong A University of Technology but also opens up numerous opportunities for students and lecturers to study, conduct research, and experience international academic environments. This is considered an important foundation for EAUT to continue developing training programs associated with research, meeting the requirements of international integration and the demand for high-quality human resources in the new era.

The International Scientific Conference organized by Dong A University of Technology is not only a meaningful academic exchange forum but also a bridge that promotes educational and research cooperation between EAUT and its partners in the East Asian region. Through this event, the university continues to affirm its development orientation toward modernization, integration, and sustainability, gradually enhancing its position within the higher education system of Vietnam and the region.
