A proud achievement for East Asia University of Technology at the national innovation arena: lecturers and students from the Faculty of Information Technology excellently won the First Prize in the overall university category at the VietFuture Awards 2026 National Final Round, along with 01 First Prize, 01 Second Prize, and 01 Potential Award for their projects. East Asia University of Technology was also honored as the university with the highest number of top awards at the program. Among 190 projects and 245 nominations from 36 universities and academies nationwide, this achievement is a source of pride for EAUT lecturers and students, while also demonstrating the University students’ proactive spirit of research and innovation.
VietFuture Awards 2026 – A large-scale innovation arena for students
The VietFuture Awards 2026 National Final Round took place on September 17 and 18 in Ho Chi Minh City, bringing together a large number of students, lecturers, businesses, and guests from educational institutions across the country.
According to information from the program, this year’s competition received 190 registered startup and innovation projects and 245 nominations from 36 universities and academies. More than 800 students directly participated in and engaged with the awards.
In addition to the competition activities, the event attracted more than 1,000 students, lecturers, businesses, and guests. More than 20 outstanding projects were selected for display and product showcases at VietFuture Showcase, creating opportunities for student project teams to connect with the wider community and businesses.
With its scale, VietFuture Awards is not only a platform for discovering and recognizing new ideas but also provides students with opportunities to connect, learn, and challenge themselves in a highly practical environment.
Lecturers and students from the Faculty of Information Technology excel at the national arena
At VietFuture Awards 2026, the Faculty of Information Technology of East Asia University of Technology presented projects developed through students’ learning, research, and experimentation under the guidance of lecturers.
The teams proactively developed their ideas, refined their products, and prepared to present and defend their projects before the judging panel. The final results saw three projects receive awards in different categories, including one First Prize, one Second Prize, and one Potential Award.
This is a notable achievement for the students who devoted considerable time and effort to turning their initial ideas into concrete products. Each project adopted its own approach, while all demonstrated a spirit of exploration, the ability to apply specialized knowledge, and a desire to use technology to address real-world problems.
Behind the results is a serious research journey
A product presented on stage often begins with ideas accompanied by many unanswered questions. For the student teams from the Faculty of Information Technology, preparing for the VietFuture Awards was a continuous journey of experimentation and refinement.
From identifying problems and developing solutions to building products, team members had to repeatedly test, identify errors, and refine each feature. Some ideas needed to be changed, while certain approaches had to be tested again to make the products better suited to real-world needs.
Through this process, students not only strengthened their professional knowledge but also developed teamwork, task allocation, progress management, and problem-solving skills.
The teams were accompanied by lecturers from the Faculty of Information Technology throughout the process. Professional feedback, product development guidance, and support during the refinement process helped the competing teams gradually improve the quality of their projects before entering the National Final Round.
When classroom knowledge becomes a product
The value of arenas such as the VietFuture Awards lies in providing students with opportunities to directly apply their knowledge to real-world contexts.
Knowledge acquired in the classroom in areas such as technology, programming, data, and system development became the foundation for students to build products and address specific challenges. Participating in the competition also helped students gain a clearer understanding of the steps required to turn an idea into a complete product.
Beyond professional expertise, the teams also developed presentation, critical thinking, and project defense skills. Interacting with lecturers, businesses, and project teams from different universities also provided new perspectives, helping students identify areas for further improvement in their products.
These are valuable practical experiences, especially for technology students preparing for their future careers after graduation.

The results at VietFuture Awards 2026 mark a memorable milestone for the Faculty of Information Technology and East Asia University of Technology.
