The 2026 National Student Mathematics Olympiad has officially concluded, with the participation of 661 students from 90 universities and academies nationwide. This is a prestigious academic competition that brings together students with outstanding mathematical thinking abilities, while also serving as an opportunity for higher education institutions to affirm the quality of their training and talent development.

In that context, the Mathematics Olympiad team from Eastern Asia University of Technology (EAUT) participated in the competition with 7 outstanding students, representing a strong spirit of academic dedication and a desire to conquer knowledge. The team was led and academically guided by Dr. Nguyen Thi Thanh Ha – Head of the Basic Sciences Faculty.

Overcoming intense competition from hundreds of contestants nationwide, student Nguyen Cong Long, currently studying at the Faculty of Business Administration, excellently won the Second Prize in Algebra. This achievement is not only a proud personal milestone for Nguyen Cong Long but also a clear testament to the perseverance, strong academic spirit, and outstanding logical thinking ability of EAUT students.

It is known that this year’s National Student Mathematics Olympiad was highly regarded for its academic quality, with challenging exam questions that required not only solid foundational knowledge but also flexible and creative problem-solving skills. In such a context, achieving a high prize is a remarkable accomplishment, demonstrating the competence and intellect of Eastern Asia University of Technology students on a national academic stage.

The success of Nguyen Cong Long also reflects the effectiveness of EAUT’s training approach in building strong foundational knowledge and developing students’ intellectual capabilities.
