Towards the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, East Asia University of Technology (January 14, 2016 – January 14, 2026), the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering organized the EAUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Student Football Tournament 2025 on a large scale, with well-structured organization and enthusiastic participation from a large number of students. After nearly two months of exciting competition, the tournament officially came to an end, leaving many positive impressions of sportsmanship, solidarity, and physical training among students.
EAUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Student Football Tournament – A Meaningful Sports Playground
The EAUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Student Football Tournament 2025 was organized to promote physical education and sports activities among students, contributing to the improvement of physical health and spiritual well-being, while creating opportunities for exchange and connection among classes and cohorts within the faculty. This is also a practical activity demonstrating the University’s and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s commitment to the comprehensive development of students alongside professional academic training.
Beyond being a sports playground, the tournament also provided an opportunity for students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering to cultivate discipline, collective awareness, teamwork skills, and competitive spirit – essential skills for students during their studies and future careers.
Well-Organized and Professional Scale
This year’s tournament brought together 27 teams from classes within the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, divided into six groups competing in a round-robin format. The teams progressed through the group stage, quarterfinals, semifinals, the third-place match, and the final, with a total of 56 matches played.
The tournament took place from November 23, 2025 to January 4, 2026 at Thanh Do Football Field – Hoai Duc, Hanoi. The organization was carried out in a scientific manner, strictly complying with the current 7-a-side football regulations of the Vietnam Football Federation. Professional referees, match supervision, logistics, and media work were closely coordinated between the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and relevant units, ensuring the tournament was conducted safely, fairly, and on schedule.
Exciting and Emotional Matches
Throughout the tournament, the teams delivered many attractive, dramatic, and highly professional matches. Student players not only demonstrated individual skills and sound tactics but also spread the spirit of honest competition, fair play, and respect for opponents.
The enthusiastic support from lecturers, students, and fans contributed to creating a vibrant and energetic atmosphere on the pitch, motivating teams to give their best for the pride of their classes and further strengthening the spirit of unity within the EAUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering student community.
Final Results and Outstanding Awards
After intense and competitive matches, the Organizing Committee summarized the results and presented awards to outstanding teams and individuals at the EAUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Student Football Tournament 2025.
Specifically, First Prize was awarded to class DCOT.14.6 for their consistent and effective performance throughout the tournament. Second Prize went to class DCOT.16.1. Third and Fourth Prizes were awarded to classes DCOT13.10.10 and DCOT13.10.8, respectively.
In addition to team awards, the Organizing Committee also honored outstanding individuals. The Top Scorer Award was presented to student Nguyen Viet Anh – class DCOT13.10.10, who scored many crucial goals and left a strong professional impression. The Best Goalkeeper Award was given to student Nguyen Van An – class DCOT.14.6, who made many impressive saves and made a significant contribution to his team’s overall achievement.
Spreading the Spirit of EAUT Student Sports
The EAUT Faculty of Mechanical Engineering Student Football Tournament 2025 concluded not only with impressive competition results but also with positive values of solidarity, physical training awareness, and connection among students of different cohorts. The success of the tournament clearly demonstrates the effectiveness of student movement activities in building a dynamic and comprehensive learning environment at East Asia University of Technology.
