Implementation of the 2025 – 2026 Academic Year Work Plan of East Asia University of Technology,
the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering successfully organized the Freshmen Welcome Week for Cohort K16 (Academic Year 2025 – 2029).
The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering’s Freshmen Welcome Week took place from September 22 to September 24, 2025, featuring two main activities:
Afternoon of September 22, 2025:
The Faculty organized the session “First-Year Citizen Education Week” and the K16 Freshmen Welcome Ceremony at the 6th-floor Hall, Vietnam Building.
Afternoon of September 23, 2025:
A field trip was arranged to Pho Yen Mechanical Joint Stock Company (POMECO) located in Bai Bong, Pho Yen, Thai Nguyen.
Morning of September 24, 2025:
The Faculty hosted a soft skills and entrepreneurship sharing session led by guest speaker – Mr. Do Manh Hung at the 6th-floor Hall, Vietnam Building.
Through the Citizen Education Week, students of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering gained the following key insights:
During the week, K16 students were equipped with essential foundational knowledge. They learned about East Asia University of Technology, the rules and regulations related to their academic programs in Automotive Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, and Mechatronics under the formal undergraduate curriculum.
In addition, freshmen were guided on how to effectively utilize modern learning resources such as E-learning platforms, the digital library, and the university’s academic resource systems — valuable tools that support their studies and research journey.
Beyond acquiring academic knowledge, the Welcome Week also provided opportunities for freshmen to interact, connect, and engage with senior students. These activities helped foster teamwork, creativity, and cultural expression, contributing to a dynamic and positive learning environment.
Throughout the event, the Faculty’s lecturers enthusiastically answered students’ questions, provided academic guidance, and shared valuable experiences to help freshmen feel more confident as they begin their university journey.
The week concluded with optimism and high expectations:
May the K16 freshmen quickly adapt to their new environment, study effectively, cultivate good morals, and develop comprehensively to become talented and confident mechanical engineers in the future.
